ML62Q2500 系列是高性能 CMOS 16 位元 MCU，搭載 16 位元 CPU nX-U16/100，並整合了程式記憶體（Flash 記憶體）、資料記憶體（RAM）、資料 Flash（抹除單位：128 位元組，寫入單位：1 位元組）以及乘法器/除法器、CRC 產生器、時脈產生器、計時器、通用埠、UART、同步序列埠、I2C 匯流排介面單元（主機、從機）、電壓準位監控器（VLS）、高速連續漸近型 12 位元 A/D 轉換器、安全功能（IEC60730/60335 Class B）等豐富的周邊功能。
CPU nX-U16/100 透過管線架構平行處理，能夠以 1 指令 1 時脈模式高效執行指令。

內建的晶片內建偵錯功能可進行軟體偵錯和編程。此外，ISP (In-System Programming) 功能支援生產線上的 Flash 編程。
