ML63Q8000系列配備LAPIS Technology獨有的硬體連動控制器(HLC)，無需軟體處理即可實現周邊連動操作。可比軟體處理更快地檢測錯誤並進行高精度感測，且無需軟體處理即可驅動外部元件。
這有助於在不增加ECU邊緣側MCU成本的情況下實現高精度控制和感測。
它還支援高速通訊協定CAN-FD，並可根據ISO26262支援功能安全的ASIL-B。
