  • What is the amount of the change in oscillation frequency when a load capacity connected to the crystal oscillation circuit is changed?
    • You can use the following formula to obtain the amount of the change (ppm) in oscillation frequency with the change in a load capacity of the crystal oscillation circuit:
      Amount of the change (ppm) ≈ C1/(2C0+2CS)*10^6
      C1: Series capacitance of a crystal oscillator
      C0: Parallel capacitance of a crystal oscillator
      CS: Load capacity of the crystal oscillation circuit
      For the series capacitance and parallel capacitance of the crystal oscillator, contact the manufacturer of that oscillator.
